Touring by bicycle in vicinity of Prerov on Elbe

Prerov on Elbe can be taken as a starting point to tour a marvelous region of Polabi, alongside Elbe River. You may set out from Prerov on Elbe towards Lysa on Elbe on a road (route No. 0019 - 3km) and after crossing a bridge you ride down to Elbe River and along the river you continue in the direction of Nymburk (route No. 0019 - approx. 15km). On your way you may stop by in the Gardens of Botanicus in Ostra. Then you can proceed along Elbe River as far as the sport centre in Nymburk. You continue from Nymburk to Podebrady (route No. 24 -approx. 10km) where a beautiful spa and a lovely historical centre of the town is found. Further on that cycle-way (called as the Golden Elbe Route - route No. 24) you continue up to Kolin (route No. 24 - approx. 20km).

Tourism in the outskirts of Prerov on Elbe

After visiting an open air museum, Moto-Velo museum and some more historical landmarks you may goalong the river from Prerov on Elbe towards Celakovice where a fortress of Celakovice with a museum is worth to visit. It is a medieval seat built around the year of 1300 near by a Romanic church.
